2017 Church Creek Chardonnay ~ Steel Fermented
100% Unoaked Chardonnay (French Dijon Clones 75, 76, 95 and CA Clone 4)
Grown in well-drained, sandy loam bojac mundane soil, with a band of clay and high minerality content with ancient shell. About 35 million years ago, a meteor slammed into the earth at a location that is now the southern tip of the Eastern Shore, displacing much of the soil and fragmenting the shell and mineralogy. Notes of honeysuckle, pineapple, and mineral elements on the nose, the palette is pristine, with ripe, sweet stone fruit tangerine acidity, and just a hint of grapefruit. This is a pure expression of the varietal and Eastern Shore terroir.

2017 Oak Chardonnay
Pairs nicely with poultry, pork, salmon, shellfish, and cream-based sauces A well-integrated Chardonnay fermented & aged in French oak for nine months. Round mouth feel with a creamy texture. The result is a pleasing combination of ripe pear and apple, notes of clove and lemon zest with fresh acidity.

A versatile and food-friendly Merlot that compliments a variety of grilled or roasted meats. Grown in this maritime climate on well-drained soils, our Merlot Develops into a well-balanced wine full of cherry and black currant, with a soft tannic structure. Hints of brown spice linger on the palate. The wine was barrel-aged in new French oak for more than 18 months.

2017 Cabernet Franc
On the nose, there are blended aromatics of spice, cedar and clove from the Petit Verdot and herbal notes from the Cabernet Franc. This wine is lush and ripe with prominent berry flavors of raspberry, cherry and a touch a cranberry. There is fresh acidity and bright minerality on the mid-palate to frame this full-bodied Franc. Pliant tannins add to its well-rounded structure.

30% Petit Verdot, 25% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc
An elegant Bordeaux-style blend of the winemaker’s select barrels. This Blend offers fresh acidity and bright fruit flavors of cherry and black current. Coffee bean, chocolate and spice, too, make-up the flavor profile of this blend. Petit Verdot adds deep color and ripeness. Merlot adds fruit and approachability. Cabernet Sauvignon brings tannin and acidity. Cabernet Franc contributes complexity and texture,.

Late Harvest Red Dessert Wine
3% residual sugar
This is a drought wine, made in dry harvest seasons by leaving the fruit on the vine to slightly dehydrate thereby increasing sweetness and intensity of flavors. With hazelnut, spice, tobacco and notes of dried fruit this wine lingers on the palette.
